Hotel exploration is the best. I'm super excited to explore my hotel in Edinburgh next month--it's in an old asylum on Candlemakers Row. I might need a companion to accompany me : )

I tried working in a reference to that marvelous book but it didn’t work. Count Rostov and Nina were with me in spirit though!

This was a wonderful account of your adventure. Guilty of usually rushing through the lobby to my room…next time I am going to slow down and look around. Loved the Remedios Varo picture (not the scary skeleton guy). Thanks for planting the seed of hotel snooping…love that you got in to see the Palmer collection.

Thank you! Check out the Art Institute of Chicago's web site for more pictures and info about the Varos exhibit, if you're interested. Also, the MFA acquired one of her paintings a year or two ago and it is, of course, magnificent. Let's go see it some time soon.

No Chicago-Kent Law School , part of Illinois Institute of Technology - Kent was a Practioner’s school - 1st to have computers for research for attorney. Great school.
